Kelly Lewis Kelly Lewis has been competing in Cowboy Mounted Shooting since 2020. She is a Mid Atlantic and 3 time South Eastern Regional Champion Mounterd Shooter in the Senior Ladies Division. Kelly has been the NC and SC High Point Champion for her class and is currently the SL4 Champion in both states and 2024 SL4 NC State Champion. "I was the last to convert to Bronc's reins, it's hard for me to change my tack. Once I tried Bronc's Cable Reins there was no going back.". I feel that these reins help me give clear direction to my partner. My lead changes got smoother and more consistant. We have more than 80 patterns In this sport, and you never know ahead of time which ones will be pulled. You can't teach the horse the patterns. You have to be able to communicate lead changes, barrel turns, roll backs and direction quickly and effectively. I believe Bronc's Cable Reins aids in rapidly communicating all these to my horse." Spyder Lewis Spyder Lewis was the Nation High Point winner in his 1st year shooting as a Mens 1. Spyder and his horse Doc Dun It Strait were Top 5 in the CMSA Futurity and won the coveted 2023 Non Pro Horse of the Year. Spyder is a previous Southeastern Regional Champion, Mid Atlanic Regional Champion, North Carolina High Point Champion, South Carolina High Point Champion in the Mens Limitted Division and Men's Overall Reserve High Point Champion for South Carolina. Spyder says "Once I switched to Bronc's Cable Reins the only question I had was "how many colors do I need?" "These reins are incredibly smooth to move your hand across while never feeling like they're going to slide out of your hand. Bronc's Cable Reins effortlessly pull off being simultaneously comfortable and effective for both the rider and the horse." Steven Lewis "It all started out as a hobby that we thought the family could enjoy. Little did I know how addictive cowboy mounted shooting is, and how invested we would become in the process." Steven Lewis has seen his skills progress from trail rider to actual competitor, resulting in multiple SC, NC, and GA state championships, being a 3-time Southeastern Regional champion, top 10 overall competitor in North Carolina, and top 5 cowboy in South Carolina for the past 3 years. He is one of the current 2024 CMSA Eastern national champions, and was top 100 national high points competitor in CMSA. "I believe this sport is 60/40 between horse and rider, with 60% credited to the horse. That means the right equipment is essential for proper communication from me to Hombre in order to perform to the best of our abilities. I was reluctant at first to change to Bronc's Cable Reins, thinking the only advantage was the ability to customize the colors to match blankets, wraps, and my own outfit. What I learned was that my communication was maximized. The large braids and thickness ensures my hands never slip, and I know exactly where I am when adjusting for tight barrel turns. The length is easily adjustable, so it's easy to find the ideal length for your sport and there's no delay when it comes to a quick turnaround from horse to horse. And working with Joe Yates on the length and design prior to production means you'll never go wrong with your choices. I'll never go back."
